Build-On-Site

If it makes more sense for the job, we can build your structure from the ground up on your property instead of delivering it pre-built. This strategy can work better for a hard-to-reach site or very large structures for example. We assemble some of the smaller pieces ahead of time and lay everything flat on a trailer to take to the job site.

Once we arrive, our builders will be ready to get to work — you can relax and go about your daily routine while we do what we do best. Our builders are highly focused on the details and will make sure everything is up to your specs before they consider their job finished. Once the job is done, we will leave your site looking brand-new, with minimal traces of a building crew that was just on your property. After this easy process, the structure is yours to enjoy.

Feel free to ask your project manager for more information about our on-site build crew!

It is expected that our customers have their site prepared prior to delivery, whether the customer installs the site or has Stoltzfus Structure prepare the site prior to shed delivery. The build crews are not responsible to do site preparations. We look forward to working with you!

Permits for Township

Prior to purchasing any shed, we recommend that you check with your local government’s building code enforcement office. Building-code officials, in addition to supplying the permit (for a fee that varies with the municipality), will also advise on “setback” requirements, which will determine where the shed can be placed in relation to front, side and rear property lines. Additionally, there may be any number of restrictions or requirements a property owner must meet depending on location, how your property is classified (i.e. residential, farm, etc.) and whether a shed is designated as a “permanent” or “temporary” structure based on the size of the building or how it is constructed. Residents of subdivisions also should check any subdivision regulations concerning detached buildings.

Since all municipalities have differing regulations and requirements, we are unable to give advice on exactly what may be required of you. Taking care of these issues is the responsibility of the property owner unless Stoltzfus Structures is pulling the permits. We can pull shed permits for a fee. We are often asked to supply building specs, etc. as part of the permit process and we are happy to assist whenever possible.
