What Pool House Style Is Best For You?

A pool house is a great addition for homeowners who want extra storage, a shaded backyard retreat, or a stylish space to gather with friends and family. These buildings are both functional and beautiful, helping you keep pool supplies organized while creating a comfortable area for outdoor seating, dining, grilling, or relaxing by the water. With the right design, a pool house can enhance your backyard, add useful storage, and create a welcoming space for poolside gatherings.

Why Do You Need a Pool House?

A pool house is a perfect building to add to your backyard, not only as a companion to your pool, but also for increased property value, storage, and a social area. When your pool is in use during the warmer months, consider storing your winter items in the storage area to free up house space. During the winter months, swap these items out for pool floats, towels, water games, and deck chairs. If you’d rather dedicate the space to pool storage only, consider keeping your floats, cover, and pool chemicals hidden away in this area to free up space on your deck.

Some styles offer a large area that functions as a great hangout spot. These areas vary based on pool house style, like the Lux Lounge Villa featuring a hangout area tucked into the pool house, while the Grand Manor has an overhang that adds a social area out of the sun. Adding a pool house to your property will increase its value and upgrade its overall appearance. This will be beneficial when selling your home in the future, as buyers will love the extra storage area alongside the pool, and will appreciate the care that was taken into making your backyard setup beautiful. As you can see below, adding some landscaping around the pool house and setting it against your pool deck creates a beautiful and seamless backyard setup.

Which Pool House Styles are Available?

Stoltzfus Structures currently has five pool house styles to choose from. Whether you need this building to serve as a hangout spot, a storage space, or both, there’s a style that fits your needs. If you are looking for a recreational area to spruce up your backyard pool, consider the Lux Lounge Villa. This pool house is where style meets functionality: you can use the enclosed area for storage, or, if you have a larger enclosed area, consider using it as another hangout space, like adding a dining area or a TV with comfortable seating. The other four pool house styles have both a storage space and a large overhang to use as a recreational area. Choose from the Colonial Style, Grand Manor, Royal Estate, or the Royal Retreat. All our pool houses offer customizations, allowing you to choose how much storage space you’ll need compared to recreation.

Our pool houses can be customized based on what you need, such as size, colors, doors, windows, storage space, recreational space, etc. This customized space will turn into your favorite place to sit in the shade during a pool day, watch the game with friends, eat dinner with your family, or relax after a long day while getting some fresh air. If you are unsure which pool house will fit your needs and backyard best, contact us to talk to a sales specialist about each pool house style.

What’s Next?

Our buying process starts with you reaching out to our sales specialists to discuss pool house options. They will want to know your location, whether you will need site preparation done, which pool house styles you’re interested in, and what you plan to use your pool house for. The more information we know about your plans, the better equipped our team will be to make suggestions and create the perfect building for you. Next, the sales specialists you are working with will send you an itemized quote with a proposed layout, specifications, and additional information. Once you approve everything, your order will be placed. You’ll need to place a deposit on the pool house, and then you’ll have an estimated building time. Finally, the best part, your building will be scheduled for delivery and set up on your property. Then, it’s left up to you to decorate your pool house!

As mentioned above, site prep is needed for pool houses. This will be discussed with your sales specialists, based on your location, building permits, and where you want the pool house placed. You can find more details on site prep HERE, or you can contact us, and we’d be happy to walk you through our process and answer any questions you may have.
