How Do I Pay For My Garage?

Did you find your perfect garage while surfing our website, but are not sure what the next steps are to purchase your structure? Our sales team is more than willing to walk you through every second of your journey, whether that’s determining what size and style garage is best for you, customizations you need, purchasing, building, or delivery, we can help you with it all. Purchasing is most often the biggest stressor for our clients since there are quite a few steps and options, but follow the guide below to know what to expect when paying for a garage.

Payments and Financing

Once your order is placed and all paperwork is completed by you and our staff, the next step is to place a deposit so we can start the building process. As an upfront placeholder and to start the structure drawing process, you must provide a deposit of $2,500. If you are choosing to pass on financing, a project costing more than $30,000 will require a 30% deposit once the permit is approved. Once your concrete is completed, 60% of your total will be due as well. This is the same price if we install your concrete or if another contractor takes care of this step. Finally, the last 10% of your garage cost is due at the time the crew finishes onsite. This is due before the final inspections of your completed garage.

Financing is another great option Stoltzfus Structures offers if you would rather pay in installments than all up front. This is especially helpful when you have a large project, and the cost is higher than you are able to pay in one lump sum. You can be approved through our website; just visit our financing page, where there are multiple vendors available. The first-choice lender is Upgrade, which typically runs 7.99% – 10.99% with a credit score above 660. Even with a lower score, you can check out what other lenders’ rates would be with your credit.

What Expenses to Expect

Based on your location, our team can pull permits for $300 and create a site plan for about $375. If a site plan can’t be created by our team, the responsibility is left to you to get an engineer survey. The prices vary depending on the project cost and whether we are able to create your specific engineered drawings. If your project cost is less than $100,000, the survey drawings cost $1,500; between $100,000 and $150,000, the cost is $2,200; between $150,000 and $200,000, the cost is $3,000; and finally, if the project is more than $200,000, the cost will be around $3,500. This could vary as all counties and townships have their own schedule of fees during processing.

Besides the extra cost for a potential engineered survey, our team needs a $2,500 deposit to start the drawings for your structure, as mentioned above. This cost is regardless of who is pulling the permits, and in no way finalizes your structure cost. The final project cost will be determined at the time of approval. This deposit is simply for our drawing team to begin sketching your structure.

Your Garage Drawings

As mentioned above, drawings are the first and key part of your garage buying process, although you may be wondering what a “drawing” means. No, our team will not send over a crayon-drawn garage, a few trees, and the sun in the top corner! Our team is very detailed in their structure drawings, including dimensions, and an easy way to see the structural integrity of your garage. Depending on your county or town requirements, our team can supply in-house drafted drawings and can even send out engineered drawings – this all depends heavily on location. Check out how this 24’ x 28’ featured project compares to its drawings.

Our Garage Styles

Stoltzfus Structures offers a huge variety of garage styles to choose from, including a single or double car, timber frame materials, or a higher-class elite style. You can make any garage perfect by checking out the different options you can customize. If you are looking for something to hold one car or an extra space for storage, the single-car garage would fit your needs perfectly. Check out the A-Frame, Hywall, Garden, or if you need some more space, the 2-Story Single A-Frame, 2-Story Single Gambrel, or the 2-Story Single Mega garage. If you wanted room for two cars or one car and extra storage, investigate our double-wide garages. These include tons of styles, such as 7-Pitch, Standard, 2-Story A-Frame, 2-Story Gambrel, 2-Story Carriage, 2-Story Mega, and our two newest models, the 2-Story Estate and Ridgeview Loft. We also offer build-on-site and attached garage options within our double-wide category.

If you are looking for something a bit more high-class, check out our elite garages, like the Garden A-Frame and Garden Hywall. These styles add some more pizazz that you may be looking for and add a beautiful appearance and more value to your property. Keeping this same aesthetic appeal but adding even more beauty, mixed with durability, the timber frame garage offered is another popular style. This will bring the cost up as the materials used are higher in cost, although the look of these structures is out of this world gorgeous.

All these garages can be customized based on your wants and needs. Contact us or call – 610-593-7700 – to find your perfect garage, or if you already have and are looking to put down a deposit, we can’t wait to get your project started.
